My name is Robert Anthony Tang-wai and if you are wondering how I chose the domain name tang-wai.ca, the reasons are many:

1. My late father's name was Dr. Robert Andre Tang-wai (he was a neurologist)
2. One of my cousins' name is Dr. Richard Tang-wai (he is also a neurologist)
3. One of my brothers' name is Dr. Raymond Tang-wai (he is a psychiatrist - beginning to see a pattern?)

This meant that rtangwai instead of tang-wai was not practical.

1. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada - hence the .ca
2. My last name is actually Tang Wai (it is Chinese), but my father went to medical school in Ireland and got tired of everyone calling him "Mr. Wai". Most Chinese simply concatenate the name into one word, but my father was influenced by the fact he was in Ireland and chose instead to hyphenate it English-style.

The purpose of this website is really for learning how to set up websites, SSL/TLS, blogs, etc. I have already learned a lot doing this and I plan on learning a lot more as I move forward. Eventually this may become the family Internet hub (as I have relatives around the world) but for now it's just for me.
